54CONVERSATION WITH MY JW SISTER LAST NIGHT......
by Mary inwell i guess this was a long time in coming, but yesterday afternoon, my family all got together and had a bbq at my parents' home.
when my parents left at around 6:00pm to drive my one non-dub sister home, my other sister and brother in law (former elder), stayed for a while longer.. we've never discussed my leaving 'the truth' a couple of years ago but she brought it up last night and we started talking about the religion.
everyone had been drinking but no one was drunk, so alot got said.

Share one or two interesting things about you we probably didn't know
by Gopher inwe have such an interesting group of people from around the world on this board.
it might be interesting to have a thread where you discuss a hobby, something interesting that happened in the past, somewhere you've been, etc.. not deep, dark confessions - just interesting stuff.. .
* i have travelled into all 48 american states that are not named alaska or hawaii.. * for the past few years, i have had a slight walking impairment due to a form of arthritis known as ankylosing spondylitis.

NEWBIE, WHEN WILL GUILTY FEELINGS GO AWAY?
by BIG D ini have been in all my life, im a fader, father, elder, i was ms for 5 years, raising my 3 boys alone for 4 years , single, brought many people in jw, all of my family in, i know its fake, but i went to my sons game and when the anthem came on, i wouldnt put my hand on my heart, and then looked around to see if anyone saw me, when will these guilty feelings go away?.

My first week here ...thoughts
by emy the infidel ini have been hear for about a week now, and have not been is such a strange mental place since i was a witness.
it has been good, the programming still kicks in however, but i'm getting less and less afraid to reason with it.
i got my coc book yesterday.... i sat looking at it and thinking of all the years i avoided it, mischaracterized and marginalized it, w/out having any specific knowledge of what was actually in it.

I HAVE TWINS THAT ARE 9, AND AN 17 YEAR OLD , ALL BOYS, MY OLDEST IS GLAD, WE ARE FADING, MY TWINS , TOO YOUNG TO KNOW, BUT THEY MISS FAMILY,X WAS A WITNESS TOO, NOW A X WITLESS, BUT HAS GONE LOCO , AND SIGNED HER RIGHTS AWAY, WE NEVER SEE HER, ME AND THE BOYS FOR 4 YEARS, I HAVE DATED BUT , HONESTLY STILL FEEL GUILTY ABOUT ALOT

Though shalt not question ze tower
by jacethespace inwell sometime ago when i was meeting at the kingdom hall i overheard someone whos been in the tower all his life say to someone " have you heard that the number of the annointed are going up and not down, people are saying they are of the annointed when they are not".well since, i have spoken to an elder about overhearing this and all i got back was " no this person wasnt questioning the watchtower, just pointing out a problem".so they know this is going on and they dont even question anything.its just so ridiculous for people who examine and scrutinze for study every word the wt puts out.
